You as a Project Manager will be a part of the electrification products division and will be based in Qatar. The electrification products division manufactures low-voltage circuit breakers, switches, and control products, wiring accessories, enclosures and cable systems to protect people, installations and electronic equipment from electrical overload. The division further makes KNX systems that integrate and automate a building's electrical installations, ventilation systems, and security and data communication networks.
•Initiates, implements and oversees operational excellence in project planning, scheduling and engineering, commissioning and other project deliverables with focus on time, cost and scope.
•Ensures implementation of product/system engineering projects according to schedule and cost requirements. Manages change requests, delays, and other issues that arise during the project. Determines and executes corrective actions to meet targets and optimize project margins. Ensures projects follow good methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures.
•Defines together with project control department, the related scope of work, costs, schedule, and work breakdown structure. Controls project progress versus schedule and budget. Identifies and analyzes risk management issues, and devises plans to minimize risk. Oversees project invoicing, cash flow, and financial target achievement.
•Leads the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Provides feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.
•Manages appropriate selection of external resources. Coordinates with relevant internal discipline leaders to define schedule of deliverables, and oversees progress versus schedule and quality requirements. Supports regarding negotiations, claims, or project changes.
•Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers, provides regular status reports, and communicates effectively to ensure satisfaction. Serves as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
•Supports customer claim issue resolution (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risks quantification, etc.). Negotiates variation of scope of work or claims, ensuring project profit within company policy.
Bid and Proposal;
•Participates in the project proposal phase to ensure feasibility of contractual requirements. Safety applies the company health & safety.
