Special Requirements
• At least 8-10 years of senior commercial experience with 2-3 years of experience in the Aid & Relief industry
• Proven track record in sales

Commercial Drive:

• Ability to – independently – uncover commercial opportunities and develop pursuit plans
• Ability to close commercial deals
• Great customer engagement skills
• Experience in completing complex commercial tenders and proposals

Stakeholder Management

• Ability to work and thrive in a flexible matrix organisation with focus on networking and collaboration
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as an individual as well as a team player
• Ability to coach, guide and train commercial resources across the region in Aid & Relief commercial engagement
• Strong drive, initiative and engagement – ability to work self-directed and well organised.
• Excellent English communication skills, verbal & written.

• Prior understanding and experience in the Africa environment is preferable
• Ability to support strategy development in Aid & Relief
• Energetic and can-do mentality
• Ability to travel to countries mentioned above up to 50% of working days
• Drive overall growth of the Aid & Relief vertical for Damco IMEA
• Personally lead significant opportunities to a close and thereby drive growth through personal engagements
• Find, engage and develop strategic relationships with organisations and/or commercial companies who can support driving the growth for Damco in Aid & Relief
• Support other Damco regions with commercial input for value propositions, tenders and other pricing offers

Stakeholder Management

• Ensure the relevant stakeholders in Damco are engaged where necessary to create successful pursuits of customer opportunities
• Ensure deep customer engagement at various levels for IMEA large and significant Aid & Relief customers.

Aid & Relief Knowledge

• Drive the awareness of Aid & Relief in the commercial organisations across the Region
• Support upskilling if commercial resources involved in securing Aid & Relief business across the region


• Support Regional CCO with the development and execution of an Aid & Relief strategy
